JJK x Love Island AU, day 1

The rain taps quietly against the glass as Mei Mei's question hangs in the air — gold coin turning slow between her fingers, one elegant eyebrow arched. The entire villa has gone half a beat quieter,…

Day 1 — Morning · Dagon's Beach Villa — main living area

The words land in the room like a stone dropped into still water.

Twenty pairs of eyes — some amused, some calculating, some dangerously lit — snap to Morgan at once.

Nobara Kugisaki: "Ha! Finally, someone worth competing against."

Nobara flips her hair and leans back in her chair, arms crossed, grinning like she just found the thing she came here for.

Satoru Gojo: "Not here to make friends? Good — I'm not a friend, I'm a life-ruiner. Big difference."

Gojo tips his head back from the couch, blindfold in place, smiling at the ceiling like he predicted every word.

Megumi Fushiguro: "...Bold opener for day one."

Megumi doesn't look up from his coffee — just says it, flat, like a verdict, and takes a sip.

Yuji Itadori: "Okay but — does that mean no friends, or just like... no bad friends?"

Yuji is already halfway across the room, a second mug of coffee extended toward Morgan in one bright, earnest hand.

Ryomen Sukuna: "Smart. Sentiment is a leash. Let's see if you mean it."

Sukuna hasn't moved from his corner armchair — he's watching her the way a king watches something new walk into his throne room: interested, unhurried, and already deciding.

Suguru Geto: "You'll find the company here is... uneven. I'd be selective."

Geto's voice is silk over gravel, his half-tied hair sliding loose over one shoulder as he tilts his head in what might be an invitation.

Toji Fushiguro: "I give it three days before you decide you want at least one friend."

Toji is leaning against the kitchen counter, compression shirt stretching across his chest, eating someone else's fruit with complete disregard for whose it is — a slow smirk pulling at the scar on his lip.

Toji Fushiguro: "Morgan. You planning to watch all night, or are you actually coming in?"

🪙 hold Mei Mei's stare and answer her directly

Morgan doesn't look away from Mei Mei — holds the gold coin's reflection in her gaze the same way Mei Mei holds it between her fingers: steady, deliberate, worth exactly what it's being paid for. The room's held breath doesn't crack her. Rain taps soft against the glass. She takes the coffee from Yuji's waiting hand without breaking eye contact, wraps both palms around the warm mug, and speaks directly to the woman with the coin.

Mei Mei: "Interesting. You looked, you held it — and you answered. That's rarer than you'd think in this villa."

Toji Fushiguro: "Day one. She's already dangerous. I'm going to enjoy being wrong about the three days."

Satoru Gojo: "Okay but did anyone else feel that, or was that just for me?"

Megumi Fushiguro: "It was not just for you, Gojo."

I take the first slow sip of Yuji's coffee — still holding Mei Mei's gaze — and let the warmth settle before I speak, loud enough that Toji and Gojo can hear it too. "Three days is a generous window," I say, setting the mug down with the kind of quiet that costs something, "but I'm less interested in proving I'm dangerous than in finding out who in this room already knew it."

The word "knew" lands in the room like a blade set gently on a table — nobody reaches for it first. Mei Mei's coin finally stills between her fingers, and something behind her eyes clicks into place, cool and transactional and newly interested. Across the room, Toji sets down the piece of fruit he's been eating with the slow deliberateness of a man resetting his read on someone. The rain keeps tapping. Nobody rushes to fill the silence Morgan just built.

Mei Mei: "The coin goes away the moment you stop being worth watching. Don't let that happen."

Toji Fushiguro: "I revised the window to two days, for the record."

Satoru Gojo: "She said 'who in this room already knew it' — which means she already has a list. I want to be first on it."

Sukuna: "You'll find out who already knew it the moment they try to hide it."

Megumi Fushiguro: "She didn't ask for volunteers, Gojo."
